REMINDER - MARCH MEETING - Rigid Heddle: Beyond the Basics this Saturday
For those participating in the workshop on Saturday - DON'T FORGET .... Preparation & what you need to bring Participants will have these items available within the group, but you may wish to bring your own if you have something suitable (to help reduce queueing): 1. Smooth string/yarn for making the continuous heddles 2. Marker pens - for those who go on to do heddle making in the afternoon. 3. Stiff card to cut into a piece 22cm x 9.5cm- again for heddle making. 4. Masking tape. 5. Scissors Participants will also need (for individual use): 1. Your loom, reeds and shuttles. The loom should be warped up in advance with a relatively narrow (c7") warp.* Dawn suggests that its important it is to keep something familiar when le arning new techniques so you may want to use a familiar warp yarn - one that is stable and easy to work with.
