Meetings

In Person

The Guild offers a programme of regular meetings in Stratford-upon-Avon. Members meet up usually on the 3rd Saturday of each month (but do check the schedule each month) offering a mix of guest speakers, workshops and the chance for a relaxed time together for making and sharing. Members can come along for a few hours in the morning or afternoon or for the full day (10.30am-3.00pm - doors open 10.15 am).

Meetings are FACE TO FACE with the use of online access for full members incapable of making the trip.

Even on days when we don't have an external speaker or a formal workshop we try to arrange active skill sharing led by guild members. Our 'Let's Learn together' (LLT) sessions offer an opportunity to focus in depth on one small aspect of our extensive range of crafts, drawing on educational resources and creating our own, demonstrating to each other and getting better at things we already do.

We meet in the New Room at the back of the Stratford-Upon-Avon Methodist Church Hall, Old Town, CV37 6BG.
(Note that Old Town is the name of the road).

The Hall is opposite the Holy Trinity Church (the church where Shakespeare is buried) on the corner of Old Town and College Lane. There is limited free parking on site with further parking available on the road outside. Stratford upon Avon railway station is 0.9 miles from the Hall.

For attendance in person, it's just £2.00 to cover tea, coffee, biscuits and (usually) cake. Non-members, £7.50. Please note, to help us cover transaction fees, there is a small additional charge for payments made by card. For the best value, we encourage cash payments, which do not incur any extra fees. Thank you for your understanding!

Attendees under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

@Home

As well as the meetings in central Stratford we hold online @home meetings once a month over the zoom platform. These are less formal session giving an additional opportunity to craft and chat with fellow members and guests.

Outings

We have fun demonstrating too, for example in previous years we could be seen at Shipston Wool Fair and at Mary Arden's Farm (part of the Shakepeare Birthplace Trust properties). At these events we are happy to explain the processes we use and often have hands on activities for you to try. Information about demonstration activity and dates here.

If you have an event you would like us to demonstrate at then do send us an enquiry through our contact form.

 DATES OF OUR 2025 MEETINGS & OUTINGS

Please consult the more detailed downloadable programme for timings and most current information, the programme will be updated as the details are confirmed.  Note that not all meetings are 3rd Saturday in the month.
