Just a reminder that some of our spinners have been spinning at Tithe Place in Southam in March Thursday 14th March Future dates are: Thursday 11th April Thursday 9th May Thursday 13th June The venue is part of Tithe Place, on the High Street and there is a very convenient café on the premises. It is a modern library, light, bright with comfortable seating As there is room for only 10 spinners to be comfortable here please contact Chris if you intend to come along. She can advise you about parking (free of charge but a short walk). There is no fee for this activity but we will have collection tins for Air Ambulance if you feel generous. Southam Library is part of Warwickshire Libraries Service so borrowing or returning books can be combined with this activity.

Our February meeting is on Saturday 16 th and will be in the New Room of the Methodist Hall, so please use the side entrance. As usual the doors open at 10.00.  At 10.30 there will be a talk by Ros Lobb on Textiles Around the World. “I have always found the structure, material and beauty of fabrics fascinating and will be showing a variety of textiles ranging from dyed cloth to woven ikat from various places around the world. This is not a special collection: these are just items I have found over time. If you have any items of interest, do bring these along to the next meeting, maybe to inspire and try something different in the future.” We will show more on this event and the textiles brought along later today.
