REMINDER - SPINNING IN SOUTHAM - February 2019

Just a reminder that some of our spinners have been spinning at Tithe Place in Southam in February Thursday 14th February Future dates are: Thursday 14th March Thursday 11th April Thursday 9th May Thursday 13th June The venue is part of Tithe Place, on the High Street and there is a very convenient café on the premises. It is a modern library, light, bright with comfortable seating As there is room for only 10 spinners to be comfortable here please contact Chris if you intend to come along. She can advise you about parking (free of charge but a short walk). There is no fee for this activity but we will have collection tins for Air Ambulance if you feel generous. Southam Library is part of Warwickshire Libraries Service so borrowing or returning books can be combined with this activity.

Spinning in Southam Library (Jan-June 2019)

Some of our spinners have been spinning at Tithe Place in Southam during Britspin and in December tested out spinning in the Library. Chris Pegler has arranged for six spinning dates in the Library during 2019 (second Thursday afternoon of each month, 1-5pm). GUILD AGM - SATURDAY 15TH JANUARY 2019

Happy New Year to you all and we look forward to a wonderful 2019 full of Weaving, Spinning & Dyeing! The first meeting is on Saturday 19th January, in the New Room at the Methodist Church so please use the side entrance. Doors open for 10.00 am. 10.30 am -  AGM will start at 10.30 am and should finish comfortably for lunch at 12.30 / 1.00pm. Your committee is elected at each AGM, all the members stand down at the end of the year. The four officers, Chairman, Vice-chairman, Secretary and Treasurer can only hold office for three consecutive years. If you wish to nominate someone who cannot attend please get their written consent to serve if elected. There are usually at most 6 committee meetings during the year.  2.00 pm -   Show and Tell of craft related presents and of the results of the experiments with the                    Derby Gritstone fleece which some members took to try.
