UPDATE ON ACTIVITIES - APRIL MEETING
We know that it is probably clearly obvious to everyone, we don't anticipate having our usual meetings for the next few months. However, we plan to make sure that you don't miss the Guild.
Now that we have settled into our new routines – working from home, staying at home as much as possible, and in some cases staying at home all the time, I hope we shall all have time to pursue our time-honoured efforts at Stash-busting and finally getting round to working on the UFOs which may fill our cupboards. (UnFinished Objects in case you are wondering.)
So that we can all keep in touch and inspire each other we have set up a forum site to which all our members can contribute – Groups.io/SOAWSDGuild. Lots of you have already joined and we will send out the invitation again for those of you who may have lost it. You can reply following a particular topic or start a new topic if there is something else you want to talk about. By these means we plan to hold virtual meetings each month, following the subjects which we had planned for our meetings in Stratford.

April - as a follow-up after Kay's workshop on braids, Sara will put up notes and instructions for some more braids to try out. We can all find some cardboard and make a temporary hand -held “marudai” . Using the Groups io site we can send photographs of our results, ask advice, suggest what the braids can be used for....... in other words hold an extended “meeting” throughout the month.
May - the subject will be narrow band weaving – we have access to Susan Foulkes - Having Fun with Stripes online course and the introduction papers is already on the GROUPS.io site. May is also our birthday month - so don't forget the birthday challenge. You can send in your photo on the day which Sara can put up in a gallery.
We are hoping to have a spinning thread to run through April and May for non-weavers.
June and July were scheduled for dyeing.
At Home next week - will of course have to go virtual. So do send in your progress on the 6 inch rings for the Association National Exhibition.
If you are not currently a member, take heart. We would like to invite you to our GROUPS.io forum FREE for three months so you can join us in our activities. Just email us at wsdstratford@gmail.com and we can invite you to join us.
