DECEMBER MEETING - CHRISTMAS PARTY - 15TH DECEMBER

Our Christmas Meeting will open its doors at 10 am as usual.

Sally Naylor will be running a needle felting session for the guild from 11-12.30. She will show us how to make attractive earrings, brooches and tree ornaments.

Fleece and synthetic (vegan) fibres to felt will be made available. We will have sponges and felting needles, but if you want to bring your own needle felting kit please do. If you get the bug, or want to continue your project in the afternoon or after the meeting, you can purchase a small kit of 3 needles anda  sponge for £1 after Sally's session.

Chris will be bringing along some colourful dyed firestar (glittery and needle feltable with or without wool added). She will sell small packs (£1 each)  in aid of Air Ambulance.

There will also be some ribbon, crochet cotton and beads to embellish with. If you fancy completing your felting by making the decorations into tree hangings or badges we will have pins, ribbons and such or you can bring your own. If you wish to make the items into other jewellery (e.g. earrings) please bring your own findings (jewellery fixings) with you. You can usually find a selection of these inexpensively online at craft shops or by dismantling jewellery bought from charity shops. Scissors, needle and thread and pointy pliers (if you have these) will be useful (some will be available).

We have a shared lunch for Christmas so please bring a plate of food to add to the table.
If it needs a knife/spoon to serve, please provide that too. Something fairly easy to eat with
your fingers is best as supplies of cutlery are limited.   Hopefully we will have some takers for making Ann's fruit punch?  Coffee and tea will be provided as usual.

Also to remind you that if you want to take part in the Secret Santa Stash Swap then please pick something nice from your stash (£8-£10 value suggested) and wrap it festively and bring it along in the morning or over lunch. After lunch we will each pick a numbered stash package prepared by another participating guild member.  No finished work please - this is an exchange from your stash, Something that will make a welcome present but is perhaps not quite your colours, or you have too much of.

See you there !
